A room
with its own
rhythm.

Gibraltar is a cocktail lounge built around music, atmosphere and discovery — a Milwaukee room where flamenco, jazz, old-school R&B, hip-hop, salsa and DJs can all belong in the same week.

The soundtrack changes

Come back on a different night. Meet a different Gibraltar.

Owner and guitarist Evan Christian intentionally moved Gibraltar beyond a single-genre jazz-club identity. Live artists and DJ nights now move through jazz, flamenco, salsa, nostalgic hip-hop and R&B.

Live

Flamenco + Guitar

Intimate sets shaped by Christian's own musical world — Latin, flamenco, soul, blues and jazz crossing paths.

Live

Jazz + Global Sound

Small-room performances where the artist is close, the cocktails are closer, and the music does not have to stay inside one category.

DJ Nights

Old School + R&B

Nostalgic hip-hop, R&B and dance nights turn the lounge from listening room into late-night Third Ward energy.

Why Gibraltar?

A crossroads, not a theme.

The name traces back to Evan Christian's transformative time in Andalucía, Spain — near Gibraltar, where Europe, North Africa and the Mediterranean meet. What stayed with him was the mixture of cultures.

That idea became the room: regal gold details, traveled objects, guitars with stories, British references, lanterns, flowers, records and pieces that reveal themselves slowly instead of all at once.

Gibraltar is not trying to recreate Spain or Morocco. It is Christian's Milwaukee interpretation of what cultural collision can feel like when music is the common language.

Thoughtfully poured

The cocktail belongs to the room.

Gibraltar's beverage program includes inventive cocktails, fine wine, beer and non-alcoholic options, with some drinks taking cues from music and Spain.

Beyond Cocktails

Wine, beer and non-alcoholic choices keep the room accessible to more than one kind of night out.

Drink your way

Behind the bar

Someone is always mid-conversation.

The bar sits close to the stage on purpose. Drinks arrive between songs, the bartenders know the regulars by name, and nobody is rushing you toward the door.

Ask what is good tonight. The answer changes with whoever is playing.

Look twice

The décor is part of the set list.

A crowned lion. Evan's guitars. Records and plaques. British gold drinking plates. Lanterns. Flowers and festive lights overhead. An authentic London red phone booth. Gibraltar is designed so the second visit reveals something the first one missed.

That layered visual world is why the digital version should feel just as collected — more like entering a room than opening a generic nightlife page.
